Our principal director Waqqas Ashraf graduated in Law from the University of Edinburgh. He completed his studies at the University of Glasgow where he obtained his diploma in professional legal practice. Waqqas has a significant wealth of experience in dealing with Criminal and Road Traffic law. He regularly appears in courts across Scotland and deals with all types of cases, from minor speeding cases to murder cases in the High Court of Justiciary.
Waqqas has a strong reputation within the legal profession and his hard work and success has resulted in award winning moments. Waqqas has previously served as a council member to the Law Society of Scotland where he represented solicitors in the constituency of Paisley, Greenock and Kilmarnock.
Waqqas is also heavily involved in Sports Law and serves as an independent disciplinary panel member at the English Football Association. He has also previously served as a disciplinary panel member at Scottish and UK Athletics. Waqqas also represents organisations and individuals who are subjected to sports disciplinary proceedings, including appearances before Cricket Scotland’s disciplinary panel.
Waqqas was appointed as legal convenor to the Mental Health Tribunal for Scotland in 2022. This has given him great insight and knowledge about the complex area of Mental Health Law.
Waqqas is bilingual. He speaks English, Urdu, Punjabi and Hindi.

Miriam Ashraf
Director
Miriam has extensive experience in the legal field having worked for a well-recognised international law firm. Her previous area of expertise has led to her forming the ability to focus on detail and ensuring cases are handled professionally under extreme pressure.
Miriam has previously worked on high value deals in a commercial setting and is an expert in legal drafting whilst ensuring multi aspects of client matters are dealt with simultaneously.
Miriam is involved in preparing cases at High Court level and she often instructs counsel across the country. Miriam is well suited and adapted to lead preparation for public and fatal accident inquiries. Her meticulous eye for detail benefits clients who face complex legal matters

Mustafa Ali Baig

Mustafa Ali Baig is a Consultant Solicitor and Notary Public, dual qualified as a solicitor in Scotland and as an advocate in Pakistan. He advises on all areas of immigration, asylum, EUSS applications, and nationality law, and has specialised in this field since qualification. His work includes support with sponsor licences and Skilled Worker applications.
Mustafa has a strong interest in human rights and asylum cases. He has experience across the full range of UK immigration routes and regularly represents clients from many backgrounds. He is predominantly a court-based practitioner and appears frequently before the Immigration and Asylum Tribunal in Glasgow.
Mustafa also advises detainees at Dungavel IRC, assists individuals of all nationalities in detention, and provides guidance to prisoners across Scotland who face deportation notices or deportation orders. He has also successfully secured immigration bail for many clients.
Known for his careful preparation and practical approach, Mustafa pays close attention to detail and works hard to achieve the best possible outcome for every client. He is recognised for his compassion, clear communication, and strong client care. Mustafa speaks English, Urdu, and Punjabi, allowing him to support clients with clarity and understanding.
John Brogan
Trainee Solicitor
John joined the firm as a Trainee Solicitor in 2025. From a young age, he developed a keen interest in criminal law, attending court of his own volition to gain an insight into the practice. During his studies, John gained practical experience working with two busy criminal defence firms. He also developed his advocacy skills through the University's Mooting Society.
John graduated from the University of Strathclyde with an Honours degree in Scots Law. Since joining the firm, he has assisted in the preparation of complex solemn cases in both the High Court and Sheriff Court, including the instruction of senior and junior counsel. He has also developed experience in parole hearings.
John prides himself on attention to detail, ensuring that every case is carefully considered in pursuit of the best possible outcome for clients. Latterly, John has conducted a variety of summary trials and has represented clients at police interviews providing tailored advice.
